Central Tech students earn medals

DRUMRIGHT — Students from Central Tech’s Drumright and Sapulpa campuses brought home multiple honors during the HOSA–Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference, held April 6–8 in Norman.

A total of 46 Central Tech health students competed against peers from across Oklahoma, earning five medals in individual events, including gold, silver and bronze finishes.

Two students captured first-place honors in their respective categories, qualifying for the HOSA National Leadership Conference set for June 17–20 in Indianapolis. The national event features topperforming students from across the country.

HOSA–Future Health Professionals is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education that prepares students for careers in healthcare through leadership development, competition and service opportunities.

Central Tech students competed in a range of healthcare-related events, demonstrating skills developed through classroom instruction and hands-on training.

School officials said the results reflect the strength of Central Tech’s health programs and the dedication of both students and instructors.
