Oilton city clerk named to National Honor Roll

OILTON — The City of Oilton is celebrating a major achievement after City Clerk Shannon Wilson was named to the 2026 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll, a national recognition program presented by General Code.

According to Oilton Mayor Julie Bagwell, Wilson is one of only six municipal clerks in Oklahoma to receive the distinction this year.

“The City of Oilton is proud to announce that City Clerk Shannon Wilson has been named to the 2026 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll,” Bagwell said. “This national recognition highlights her dedication, professionalism, and service to the community.”

The Municipal Clerks Honor Roll recognizes clerks across the country who demonstrate exceptional commitment to local government operations and public service. Municipal clerks play a vital role in maintaining official records, supporting city administration, and helping ensure transparency and efficiency in local government.

Bagwell said the recognition reflects the impact Wilson has made through her work for the city and the community she serves.

City officials praised Wilson for her continued dedication and noted that the honor brings positive recognition not only to her personally, but also to the City of Oilton.
