Evie Ools is the Region 2 pitcher of the year. She had a great career at Drumright. In her career, she pitched a ton of games. Starting pitcher as a freshman, sho also could play other positions on the field. She also played sow-pitch softball and basketball.
I’m not sure if she has signed uo to play anywhere yet, but she will.
Also Karlie Kennedy of the Oilton lady Panthers had a great career at Oilton. She was the star pitcher ever since her freshman year. The last few years she started in centerfield. Her first year se started at shortstop. She’s a great hitter and very fast. I’m sure she got some honors, definitely all conference.
Both Kennedy and Ools could be all staters. There’s a good chance.
This article ends on a sad note. Mrs. Barbara Ledgerwood passed away while vacationing in Hawaii. She was a beloved teacher in the Drumright school system. Everybody loved Barbara. She had a great family also, so I’m very sorry for her family’s loss.
