Seventh and eighth grade girls compete

The Drumright (Cooper) girls started the season slow, and lost some players but finished strong.

To finish the season they had to use some 9th graders. Four of them weren’t getting a lot of playing time in varsity so they got playing time on the seventh and eighth grade team.

Some of the freshman seeing laying time on the varsity just played defense, but at different positions on the field than they usually did.

Late in the season they beat Ripley 8-3.

Kennedy Gray did a lot of the pitching and did pretty well.

Kymber Gann played third and was very good at it. She had two hits and two RBI’s against Ripley.

Zhaden Vaughn had a walk. She had some good plays at first. Camber Craig played well in the outfield, as did Allison Dinwiddie and London Snell.

Macy Meyers hit an inside the park home run. She played some first base. Kailin Raden also played in the outfield, she had several hits in the Ripley game.

Zoe Neinhaus also played some outfield, and had a hit and two walks against Ripley. Rylie Medlock had 2 RBI’S against Yale. Boston Lunsford and Makey Reed played in the game also.

Their coaches are Lesli Robinson and Alyssa Fuxa. They beat Yale 9-2
