Three local towns in contest to be America’s Favorite Small Town

Three area communities are looking to be named one of America’s Favorite Small Towns through an online contest presented by Parade and Stellar.

In the Southwest region of the competition local towns — Drumright, Terlton, and Mannford — have been named as contestants in a nationwide competition that honors towns with populations under a certain threshold. The contest aims to highlight the spirit, charm, and sense of community that makes rural America unique.

Communities across the country are invited to showcase what makes their towns special as part of the contest which allows the public to vote for their favorite small towns.

Each of the three local towns brings something distinct to the table.

Drumright, long known for its deep roots in Oklahoma’s oil history, embraces its heritage. The Drumright Museum and other historic sites throughout the area depict a history of turmoil and overcoming. Drumright’s smalltown pride remains strong.

Terlton stands out for its quiet charm and strong community ties. Nestled near Keystone Lake, the town is known for its rural character, offering a peaceful lifestyle that reflects the heart of small-town living.

Mannford, located on the shores of Keystone Lake, blends outdoor recreation with a growing sense of community. Mannford continues to attract both visitors and residents who value a hometown feel.

Being included in the America’s Favorite Small Towns contest places all three communities on a national stage — celebrating the qualities their residents already know and cherish. Community members are encouraged to support their towns by participating in the online voting and sharing what makes their hometown special. Those who wish to participate in the contest can go to https:// americasfavoritesmalltowns. parade.com/southwest to choose from a list of small towns in Oklahoma.

The contest serves as a reminder that small towns play an important role in preserving community spirit, local history, and a way of life that continues to resonate across the country.
