TULSA — A Jennings man died last week after suffering a medical emergency while driving on U.S. 412 west of Tulsa, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Kenneth S. Richards, 76, was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound on U.S. 412 near 177th West Avenue at about 2:46 p.m. March 10, when he suffered a heart attack and drifted off the roadway, troopers said.
The pickup came to rest on a cable barrier along the highway.
Richards was removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and transported by Mercy EMS to OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was pronounced dead at 3:39 p.m., according to the OHP report.
Troopers said Richards was not wearing a seat belt. No passengers were in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved.
