Sample ballots available; early voting set for April 7 election

SAPULPA — Sample ballots are now available for Creek County voters ahead of the April 7 election, according to the Creek County Election Board.

The election includes several races and propositions across the county, including Central Technology Center, multiple school board seats and Sapulpa city council wards, as well as Tulsa Public Schools propositions.

Voters can view and download their sample ballot through the Oklahoma State Election Board’s OK Voter Portal or pick up a copy at the Creek County Election Board office during regular business hours.

Election Board Secretary Vicki Martin said voters should check their individual ballot before heading to the polls.

“Sample ballots are specific to each person,” Martin said. “If the OK Voter Portal indicates that you have no sample ballots available, it means you are not eligible to vote in an upcoming election.”

Sample ballots will also be posted outside each precinct polling location on Election Day for voters to review.

Early voting for the April 7 election will be held April 2-3 at the Creek County Election Board office, 230 E. Hobson Ave. in Sapulpa. Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Martin said early voting is open to all registered voters, and no excuse is required.

“This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day,” she said.

Officials noted that early voting is only available at the election board office and not at regular polling places.

Voters who need assistance due to visual or physical disabilities may use the accessible voting device available at polling locations or request assistance from the election board.
