ENID — Pawnee’s Cason Tatum took on a competitive field Monday at the Enid Boys Invitational at Oakwood Country Club.
The Blackbear senior finished 51st with an 88, navigating the 18hole layout against golfers from across the region.
Tatum opened his round with a steady stretch on the front nine. After a 7 on the opening par-5, he quickly settled in, recording four consecutive fours from holes 2 through 5 and staying close to par through the middle of the round. He added another solid stretch with a 5 on the par-4 seventh, 4 on the par-3 eighth, and 5 on the ninth to close the front side.
On the back nine, Tatum continued to battle through Oakwood’s challenging closing holes. He carded a 3 on the par-3 16th, one of his best holes of the day, before finishing the round on the demanding final stretch.
