Right: Eric Dean Sanders of Tahlequah caught the new unrestricted state record (gigging) northern hog sucker. This record fish was caught on 3/31/2026 in the Illinois River in Cherokee County The fish weighed in at 2 pounds 4 ounces, 16.75 long, 9.25 girth.
