Youth Deer Hunts Offered in Creek County

CREEK COUNTY — Young hunters will have two opportunities to participate in controlled deer hunts on private land in Creek County this fall.The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation will hold the Creek County hunts Nov. 6-7 and Dec. 18-19.

Pawnee County man accused of sexting minor

STILLWATER — A 41-year-old Pawnee County man accused of repeatedly sexting a minor in Payne County has been ordered to appear in court on Aug. 3 on a three-count charge accusing him of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by sending text messages to her cell phone.

Pontoon strikes underwater foundation on Keystone Lake

KEYSTONE LAKE — Nine people escaped injury after a pontoon boat struck an underwater concrete foundation Saturday on Keystone Lake.The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. July 25 near the lake’s north shore in Pawnee County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
