STILLWATER — A 41-year-old Pawnee County man accused of repeatedly sexting a minor in Payne County has been ordered to appear in court on Aug. 3 on a three-count charge accusing him of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by sending text messages to her cell phone.
If convicted of contacting the girl repeatedly on three days in January for sexual or prurient interest, Glenn Mitchell Clark of Jennings could be given a 30-year prison term plus a $30,000 fine, according to court documents filed in June.
Payne County Sheriff's Investigator Tomm Edwards wrote in an affidavit that he observed a forensic interview of the child in January.
In the interview, she alleged that Clark 'likes to buy her things when they go to Dollar General. And (he) bought her a clarinet...(she) also stated Clark is fun to wrestle with.
'(She) disclosed that Clark would text her on Facebook and talk about her and her friends. (She) disclosed that she would send Clark pictures.
'(She) disclosed that Clark would add 'minutes' to her phone.
'(She) disclosed that she and Clark used to text every day, but she has now blocked him and is not allowed to contact him,' the affidavit alleged.
In April, the investigator conducted an analysis of the digital contents of a cell phone belonging to and used by (the girl), according to his affidavit.
In the last text in January, the girl was told to not let her parent know 'you have that card,' the affidavit alleged.
The text messages were sent from a phone number that Clark listed as his number when he was booked into the Payne County Jail, the affidavit alleged.
Clark was arrested on June 19 and freed on $15,000 bond that same day, court records show.
