Fishing Tip of the Week
The weather may feel like fall, but warm water means fish haven’t settled into their winter routine. Start near shallow coves and creek mouths where small baitfish gather, especially beside a drop-off. Try a small crankbait or spinnerbait that matches the baitfish’s size. If a cold front slows the bite, work the nearby deeper water and slow your retrieve. A warm afternoon can bring fish back into the shallows, so give those spots another look before heading home.
