Lady Tornadoes start slow, but get better later

The Drumright Lady Tornadoes fast pitch team coached by Leslie Robinson, and assisted by Alyssa Fuxa, travelled to Ripley for the Ripley Tournament, and that tournament is stacked, it could be one of the best tournaments in the state.
Drumright High School junior Brinlee Christy, a longtime softball player who competes in both fastpitch and slowpitch, recently was selected to join the Oklahoma Athletics 18U Babb traveling softball team out of Oklahoma City. Christy primarily plays catcher and third base, with additional time at first base.

The Drumright Lady Tornadoes traveled to Firelake in Shawnee to scrimmage 5A Collinsville and 6A Stillwater.You have to give it to coach Rob. She likes to scrimmage tough teams. ”1 believe it is going to make us better,” she said.The first game was with Collinsville and we lost 8-5.

Keystone Lake — Aug. 10 Elevation is 2 feet above normal and falling. Water temperature is 82°F and stained. Largemouth bass are good on in-line spinnerbaits and plastic baits around brush structure, docks and points. Blue catfish are excellent on shad around the main lake.

This is the 2026 Drumright Lady Tornado softball schedule and it sounds real tough.Aug. 10 at home against Pawhuska; Aug. 11 at home against Meeker; Aug. 13 -15 at the Ripley Festival; Aug 18 at Strother; Aug. 20-22 at the Prague Tournament; Aug. 25, a three-way at Ripley with Kellyville; Sept. 1.
