Olive Wildcats compete at Calamity at the Club

GUTHRIE — The Olive Wildcats took on a challenging field Wednesday at the Calamity at the Club tournament at Guthrie Golf and Country Club, finishing 10th as a team with a score of 228.Senior Tyler Conley led the Wildcats on the day, tying for 38th place with a 52 on the nine-hole course.

Tornado hardball underway

Drumright Tornado baseball started last Monday at home against Davenport and the Tornadoes beat Davenport, 9-1. I will admit, Davenport did have one of their best players out, but our guys played a great game, they were very fired up.

CUSHING — Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Cushing Chapter had several commemorative iron benches installed at Cushing Memorial Park and new school complex in honor of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

Mannford man injured in crash

MANNFORD — Two people from Mannford were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.The collision occurred at about 10:30 a.m. March 4 on westbound Interstate 44 near mile marker 184.5.
