SAND SPRINGS — A beam signing ceremony has been scheduled for Sept. 18 in celebration of Sand Springs Public Schools construction progress.
District officials invite the community to gather and mark this milestone for the new seventh and eighth grade building — a key project made possible by the Future-Ready Sandites bond initiative. The event is set for Sept. 18 at 4:30 p.m. at Clyde Boyd Middle School - North Lot, 305 West 35th Street.
Community members, students, staff, and local leaders are encouraged to attend and add their names to a piece of the district’s future. This ceremonial event gives attendees the opportunity to sign a steel beam that will become a permanent part of the new school facility, symbolizing unity, progress, and the shared investment in the future of Sand Springs students.
The new facility was made possible through overwhelming support shown by local voters on Feb. 13 of 2024 when a $114.5 million bond package known as the Future-Ready Sandites Student Investment Plan was approved. The new seventh and eighth grade center is one of the signature projects of the plan, designed to provide modern, purposebuilt learning environments that meet the evolving needs of students and educators.
This beam signing marks a key milestone in the construction timeline and celebrates the collaboration between voters, school leaders, and construction partners working to bring this vision to life.
