Cleveland super says parent surveys essential

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Public Schools is asking its district families to complete three important surveys before the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

Superintendent Sol Bayouth said these forms help Cleveland Public Schools secure funding, prepare transportation services, and identify student and family needs.

“Your participation is essential, and most families can complete all three forms in just a few minutes,” Bayouth said.

The school district is asking families to fill out its household survey.

“The household survey is one of the most important forms families complete each year. The information collected helps Cleveland Public Schools qualify for critical state and federal funding and supports our ability to continue providing free breakfast and lunch for all students,” Bayouth said. “We need one survey per household. All information is processed confidentially and is never made public. By completing this survey, you help ensure our district receives the resources needed to support students and families.”

The second request form is the bus rider agreement. “The bus rider agreement is vitally important for all students who may ride a school bus this year. This form outlines expectations for students and parents while helping us maintain safe and efficient transportation services,” Bayouth said. “Just as importantly, it allows us to verify physical addresses, and transportation needs so we can organize bus routes as quickly and accurately as possible before school starts. Completing this form promptly helps us prepare for a smooth first day of school.”

The third form request is the student residency survey.

“Family circumstances can change from year to year.

The student residency survey helps us understand our families' current situations so we can identify needs and connect students with available resources and support services," Bayouth said. "Your responses help us better serve students and ensure we have the most accurate information possible as we begin the new school year. This information allows us to be proactive in supporting students and families when needs arise." To fi ll out the survey forms visit www.clevelandtigers. com/blog-post.

"Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete these important forms. Your participation helps Cleveland Public Schools secure funding, safely transport students, and provide the support and resources that help every student succeed. Together, we can ensure a strong start to the new school year," Bayouth said.
