SAPULPA — Creek County Literacy Program is hosting their annual Spelling Bee on Rt. 66 at the Creek County Fairgrounds, April 2. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the competition begins at 6 p.m..
Each year, Creek County Literacy Program hosts its annual fundraiser, acompetitive Spelling Bee in which teams from area businesses and organizations compete for prizes and bragging rights. Each team of three competes by spelling preselected words, and the team with the most correct spellings wins the large traveling trophy to display at their office for the year.
This year’s theme is “The Great Gats-Bee” and features a Roaring 20’s theme. The event also features a costume contest, basket wars, and team spirit competition. A photographer will be onsite to capture all the fun, and to go along with this year’s theme, mocktails and a light dinner will be served.
All proceeds raised at the event will support Creek County Literacy in 2026.
