DRUMRIGHT — The Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day and the nation's 250th anniversary during Freedom Fest 2026 this coming Saturday on July 4 at Whitlock Park.
Activities begin at 3 p.m. and continue throughout the afternoon before a fireworks display at dark, sponsored by the City of Drumright and presented by Red, White, and Boom Fireworks.
The free family event will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, children's activities and a variety of contests and attractions, including a Pedals & Pups Parade, Stars & Stripes Bike Contest, hot dog eating contest, Oreo stacking contest, mechanical bull, dunk tank, cornhole tournament, kid zone, and splash pad among a variety of other options. A motorcycle show will also replace the previously planned car show.
Chamber President Tim Howard said headlining this year's entertainment is Jake Gill, who has been an eight-time TikTok Award winner and finalist on NBC's The Voice. He will be joined by Todd Harkreader and Gene Collier, with additional local performers appearing throughout the day.
'We're hoping to make it a family event that everybody wants to be a part of,' Howard said.
Additionally, he noted that churches, civic groups, local businesses, and numerous volunteers have worked together for months to organize the celebration. Howard also said golf cart shuttles will be available to assist attendees who need help getting to and from the festivities.
“If they want to be there, we’ll make sure they get in and out,” he said.
Chamber organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and spend the day enjoying the festivities before closing out the evening with fireworks over Whitlock Park.
Howard said for additional information or event updates people can follow the Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce on Facebook, email drumrightchamber@gmail.com, or call him at (918) 770-3278 or Anna Long at (918) 352-0693.
