DRUMRIGHT - The Drumright City commissioners recently approved a proclamation that recognized May 4-8 as Teacher Appreciation Week in honor of the educators of Drumright, this year with the addition of the instructors at Central Technology Center.
The proclamation highlights the vital role teachers play in shaping the lives of local students in both the school district and local vocational education facility - acknowledging the dedication they show both inside and outside the classroom. Following the council's action, Drumright Public Schools leadership expressed gratitude to city leaders and the community for the recognition.
"Drumright Public Schools would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Drumright City Council for o cially proclaiming Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4–8, in our community," the district shared in a statement. "This recognition speaks volumes about the value our city places on education and the incredible work of our teachers." School o cials also thanked the wider Drumright community for its continued support of local educators - noting that teachers regularly go above and beyond to invest in the lives of their students. The district emphasized in its statement that community encouragement plays an important role in supporting teachers and maintaining the high expectations known locally as the "Tornado Standard".
