Pack it in, pack it out: Bring a small trash bag on every fishing trip and take home everything you brought — bait containers, snack wrappers and tangled fishing line included. Discarded line can entangle birds, turtles and other wildlife. If you spot litter left by someone else, pick up a little extra. Leave the fishing hole better than you found it.
