SAND SPRINGS — The City of Sand Springs is welcoming the holiday season with its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony themed “A Gingerbread Christmas” this year on Nov. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Triangle Park in downtown Sand Springs. This free, family friendly celebration promises an evening full of festive fun.
Guests can enjoy performances from local school choirs, a jazz band, and dance groups along with free carriage rides through downtown. Food trucks will be on-site and the Sand Springs Cultural & Historical Museum will host kidfriendly activities including Selfies with Santa, makeand- take ornament station, crafts, cookies, community decorated Christmas trees, and letters to Santa. Local shops and businesses will also be open for holiday browsing.
The highlight of the night will be the lighting of the community Christmas tree which will take place between 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. — filling Triangle Park with holiday glow.
All residents and visitors are invited to come celebrate, support local performers and merchants, and enjoy a magical kickoff to the season.
