OSAGE COUNTY — A 76-yearold Sand Springs man died following a motorcycle crash Sept. 7 near Skiatook Lake, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Steven Dale McGehee was traveling east on Lake Road near Wells Drive at approximately 3:35 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, OHP reported.
The motorcycle left the roadway to the left and rolled an undetermined number of times before coming to rest on its left side. McGehee was separated from the motorcycle during the crash.
McGehee was injured and pronounced dead. No passengers were involved.
The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Justin Garrison of Troop K. OHP said the information was preliminary and subject to change.
