MANNFORD — A 19-yearold Mannford man was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 48 in Creek County, according to authorities.
Dalton L. Roberts died after the vehicle he was driving left the roadway about 8:53 p.m. roughly 190 feet south of County Road South 353, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers said the vehicle was traveling south when it departed the roadway to the right. The driver attempted to correct back onto the roadway but overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide toward a guardrail. The vehicle struck the guardrail and rolled onto its side.
Roberts was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers reported that seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
