SAND SPRINGS — A Sand Springs student was among the approximately 1,732 graduates recognized during Fort Hays State University's spring 2026 commencement ceremonies.
Fort Hays State University celebrated graduates during ceremonies held May 15 and 16 at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kansas.
Among those earning degrees was Derian Mastin of Sand Springs, who received a Master of Social Work degree.
University officials noted that graduates who requested privacy were included in the overall graduation count but omitted from the published list of graduates.
Fort Hays State University recognized students from across the nation and around the world for completing undergraduate and graduate degree programs during the spring semester.
