DRUMRIGHT — Drumright Fire Department members responded quickly after two tank batteries caught fire last week on June 23.
According to department reports, two tank batteries located on Central Tech property were ignited after being stuck by lightning. Department members responded to the incident and was able to extinguish both tank batteries quickly.
Department members informed the public Engine 2 was dispatched to the scene and used a foam induction system to suppress and extinguish the fuel-fed fires. The prompt response prevent the fires from spreading and brought the incident under control.
The department shared details of the response in a social media post following the incident. No injuries or additional damage were reported.
