Funeral services for Cushing resident, Carla Brittenham, will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 24th in the Memorial Chapel of Michael's Funeral Home of Drumright. Rev. Sonny Johnston of Crossway Church in Cushing will o ciate. Interment will follow in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Carla Jean Brittenham was born in Douglas, Wyoming on February 6, 1954 to the late James Ellis Brittenham, Jr. & Ruth Elaine (Metterling) Britten- ham. She passed from this life at her residence on July 19, 2026 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, & 13 days. In 1965 her family moved from Wyoming to Drum- right and she has remained here ever since. She attended Drumright Schools & was a 1972 graduate of Drumright High School. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1983 as a Registered Nurse. She had also worked as the Director of the LPN Program at Central Tech in Drumright until 2003.
Not willing to retire, she opened Classey Flowers of Drumright and later purchased Drumright Flo- ral. She ran the fl ower shop until 2025 when her ill health forced her to retire. Carla loved owning the fl ower shop & being a fl orist. She also loved her family Mexican food & Margaritas working puzzle books fi shing and OU Football. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by a Sister: Connie Osterhout.
She leaves behind her Children: Kendra Kirkpatrick of Stroud Cayne Martin & wife Ashley of Sapulpa Kaleigh Brittenham & Levi Grimm of Cushing; Grandchildren: MacKenzie & Chris Salor Tinley; Great Grandchild: Addison; Sister: Linda Brittenham of Tulsa; Plus Nieces – Nephews – Cousins other extended family members - & friends.
