OSAGE hires George as Skyway Range director

TULSA — Osage LLC has hired Jason George, an Osage Nation citizen and veteran economic development and operations executive, as site manager for Skyway Range, the Nation’s aerospace and droneport facility.

George will oversee site operations and tenant engagement, serve as the primary range safety officer, and act as liaison for unmanned aircraft systems testing. He will also help drive business development tied to the aerospace industrial park and test flight facilities and work with partners on UAS and Advanced Air Mobility growth.

“UAS testing … sits at the intersection of flight and real-world operations,” George said. “I feel that the next 5 years in the UAS field are going to be the most dynamic to date ….”

George has more than 15 years of experience in business development, strategic planning and operations. He previously served as economic development director for the City of Collinsville, Okla., and as a business development specialist for the Osage Nation. He holds an MBA and a B.A. in marketing from Northeastern State University.

“Jason’s appointment reflects both the history and the future of the Osage Nation,” said Russell Goff, CEO of Osage LLC. “As an Osage citizen with deep experience in economic development … [he] is uniquely positioned to guide Skyway Range’s growth ….”

Skyway Range builds on the Nation’s aviation legacy and, through initiatives such as Osage PathFinders Development, helps prepare Osage youth for careers in aviation, aerospace and STEM.
