OILTON – The regular meeting of the Oilton Public Works Authority (OPWA) members ended with an extension to Chairman Patrick Kennedy’s performance improvement plan or PIP. The members of the authority entered into executive session to discuss the ongoing PIP for Kennedy returning into open session after just over an hour. The session, held under the authority of OKLA. STAT. tit. 25, Section 307(B)(1) and (7), allowed board members to deliberate privately on sensitive issues related to employment and confidentiality. After returning to open session, OPWA Vice Chairperson Julie Bagwell made a motion to extend Kennedy’s PIP by an additional four months. The motion was seconded by Bessie Mattalino and passed unanimously with a 6-0 vote. No further public comment was made regarding the contents of the executive session.
