Evie Ools, daughter of Megan and Cary Ools, signed to play at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid. Her coach will be Steve Kessel. Lesli Robinson, her coach, kept her speech brief but with good compliments.
There were a bunch of pictures taken, mostly with her parents, teammates, and Jr. High kids. Her teammates love her and the little kids look up to her. She also took pictures with her coaches Leslie Robinson and Alyssa Fuxa. I also got to take a picture with her.
Also, her principal, “Sharp Dressed Man” Jason Bray took pictures with her as did Angela Avila the superintendent.
Kirsten Jone’s class had kids there supporting Evie. Evie is also a great student.
She really loves Northern and I know she will do well. She will also play high school basketball coming up.
The ladies have already had scrimmages with Bristow, Ripley, Cushing, and Kelleyville so they shouldn’t be overwhelmed when the season starts.
Kaiton Vann, Lauren Janzen, Addie Ingraham, Torin Bray, Makay Reed, Alyssa Roe, Brailin Wright. Their coaches are Lauren Campo and Alyssa Fuxa. The team does not have a bunch of height but will have tons of speed. Other players are Willow Mattox, Kaley Joe, Kailan Roden, Macy Meyers, Boston Lunsford, and Zoe Neinhaus.
The Tornado boys are coached by “Sharp Dressed Man” Jason Bray and Mike Ledgerwood. Keaton Jensen, Garrett Wright, Zaidon “Blue” Stewart, Rhett Cearley, Keagan Ward, Kypton Ward, Lincoln Fisher, Max Gray, Cordae McCormick, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some names.
The Tornadoes lost some good seniors from last year but seem to have a good nucleus of players back. I will try to have a schedule soon, there could be changes on it form last year. Two teams that I know of, Schutter and Dove Science are on the schedule, The Varsity Boys ran hot and cold. Dec. 2 is our first games with Davenport at home. Davenport was real good last year, both teams.
