SAPULPA — Early voting for the upcoming Creek County election will be held Thursday and Friday, Feb. 5–6, at the Creek County Election Board office in Sapulpa, officials said.
Early voting will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days at the Election Board office, 230 E. Hobson Ave., for voters who will not be able to vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Feb. 10.
Creek County Election Board Secretary Vicki Martin said early voting is open to all voters eligible to participate in the election and does not require an excuse.
“Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board or State Election Board,” Martin said. “This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day.”
Martin reminded voters that early voting is only available at the Election Board office and not at individual polling locations.
Polling places for affected precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Feb. 10, Martin said.
Voters who need assistance because of a physical disability may receive help from an assistant or vote privately and independently using an Accessible Technology Interface device attached to the voting equipment. Voters requiring assistance are encouraged to speak with a precinct official or contact the Election Board for instructions.
Items on the ballot include the general election for State Representative District 35 to fill an unexpired term, a Sapulpa City Council race for Ward 1, Seat 1, and propositions or offices involving Depew Public Schools, Drumright Public Schools and Jenks Public Schools.
