Drumright Purchases Clarifier Parts for Wastewater Treatment Plant

DRUMRIGHT — The officials of the City of Drumright recently approved the purchase of equipment for the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $17,800 plus shipping.

According to City Manger Shawn Gibson, the equipment — two complete scraper blades extending from the drive arm to the floor — will be installed in one of the plant’s two clarifiers as part of ongoing maintenance and infrastructure improvements.

While a specific amount was approved city officials acknowledged additional cost are possible once the project is underway. Additional cost will be dependent on installation needs and the condition of the existing components.

The purchase of the new scraper blades is anticipated to ensure long-term functionality and efficiency of the sewer plant clarifier. Gibson said the equipment is a key component in the city’s wastewater treatment process.
