Sand Springs student earns Dean’s Honor Roll at Wichita State

SAND SPRINGS — Daniel R. Fitzgerald of Sand Springs has been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll at Wichita State University for the spring 2025 semester.

Fitzgerald was among 3,710 students recognized for academic excellence at the Kansas university. To qualify for the Dean’s Honor Roll, students must be enrolled full time and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Wichita State is Kansas’ only urban public research university and enrolls more than 23,000 students across its main campus and WSU Tech. The university is nationally recognized for its focus on applied learning and innovation, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

Fitzgerald’s achievement places him among the top-performing students at one of the fastestgrowing research institutions in the region.
