The Drumright Lady Tornadoes season is over, the Ladies had to go to Hominy, imagine that. The Ladies stomped Ketchum 12-1 as Ketchum had a ton of errors. Weirdly Ketchum had only played 8 games before the Districts.
Hitting were Addy Ingraham 3 for 4, Evie Ools 3 for 4 with 1 rbi, Brinlee Christy 2 for 3 with 2 rbis, Boston Lunsford 2 for 3 with 1 rbi, Brae Wright did the same, Paisley Christy was 2 for 3 with 2 rbis, Zoe Neighs 1 for 2 with 1 rbi, Lauren Janzen 1 for 2, Kailan Redea 1 rbi, Aubree Brimmer 1 for 2. Defensively pitcher Aubree Brimmer was helped out by Lauren Janzen at short, Addy Ingraham in center, Brinlee Christy at third, Boston Lunsford at second. Then we had to play the Lady Bucks of Hominy.

For the tournament Zoe Neighs made several plays. Ingraham and Janzen made a ton of defensive plays in the far games. But we were limited to 4 hits, Janzen 1 for 2, Brinlee Chrity, Evie Ools, and Boston Lunsford were all 1 for 3. On the verge of elimination the Lady Tornadoes out back and won 5-1. We got 4 runs in the bottom of the fi fth, Janzen singled, Roden singled, Neighs singled, Ingraham singled in Janzen, Brinlee Christy singled in Roden, Boston Lunsford singled in Brinlee Christy, and Ingraham.
The defense came up tough as Hominy kept hitting it to Ingraham in center and she made all of her 4 plays. We won 5-1. Ingraham was 2 for 3 with 2 rbis, Evie Ools 1 for 3, Brinlee Christy 1 for 3 with 1 rbi.
But unfortunately Hominy in the fi nals got 4 runs in the fi rst innings and that lead held up as the shortstop and third basemen made a ton of plays. We only had 3 hits Janzen 1 for 2, Wright 1 for 2, and Brinlee Christy for 3. We had 2 the Lady Tornado defense was excellent for the tournament.
We had played 6 games in 3 days. Monday we beat Shidler 11-3, on Tuesday Senior Day we lost to Strother 17-7, we did have 2 homers, one by Evie Ools, one by Brinlee Christy. I just wish the OSSAA would pay attention to the fact that our girls and Hominy girls don’t get along, yet the OSSA just keeps putting Hominy in playo s with us, in fast pitch regionals, in basketball districts, in slow pitch regionals.
Ask Davenport fans and their fast pitch coach what Hominy fans are like. Not all of them. There have been a lot of things that have happened at these games. But the OSSAA seems to be interested in the bigger schools. I know there’s a ton of schools out there. If they have heard of the situation then they need to quit matching us up.
