Pirates season ends with buzzer beater

MANNFORD — It ended the way high school seasons always do for every team except one — a shot, a collective breath, a flick of the wrist as the buzzer sounded for the final time.Seminole 56, Mannford 54. And just like that, the Pirates’ season was over.

Tornado basketball ends with a classic

DRUMRIGHT — Tornado basketball ended Friday night with a classic. Drumright and Yale Boys had a great game. It appeared Yale was a big favorite, but the Tornadoes didn’t believe it. We did lose but it didn’t feel like it.We lost 79-76 and had quite a few chances.

Pirates ride the swells, finish strong in 2-1 week

MANNFORD — Some weeks test you. For the Mannford Pirate boys basketball team, last week was one of those. The Pirates went 2-1, beating Sperry and Cleveland with a stumble at Bristow in between.
