Drumright employee earns certification OML conference

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kari McCarthy has officially been awarded the Certified Municipal Official (CMO) certification, a milestone achievement recognizing her dedication to municipal leadership and ongoing professional development. The certification was presented on September 11 during the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) Annual Conference held in Oklahoma City.

To receive the CMO designation, municipal officials must complete 40 credit hours of training through a combination of educational and leadership activities. Credit hours can be earned in several ways, including attendance at approved National League of Cities (NLC) functions, participation in the Community Leadership Development Program, and ongoing education provided directly by the Oklahoma Municipal League. Additional hours may be earned from attending the OML Annual Conference or participating in other approved non-League events.

McCarthy’s completion of the program highlights her commitment to effective governance and her willingness to continue learning in order to better serve her community.

The CMO certification is a respected benchmark among Oklahoma’s municipal leaders, and McCarthy now joins a growing number of public officials working to bring informed, responsible leadership to cities and towns across the state.
