DRUMRIGHT — The school district’s estimate of needs for fiscal year 2027 (FY27) totals nearly $4.8 million with increased state funding helping support additional staffing at Bradley Elementary, according to Drumright Public Schools Superintendent Angela Avila.
Avila said the district’s total FY27 Estimate of Needs is $4,792,483.17.
Due to higher enrollment, an increase in state aid was received by the district while simultaneously creating a need for additional staffing at Bradley Elementary, according to Avila.
The higher enrollment numbers have also resulted in the district requesting additional funding. However, a new source of revenue will not be required.
“The additional funding will come from increased State Aid received in the district’s General Fund during the 2025–2026 school year,” Avila said.
She further explained that additional funding is tied to expenditures that had already been planned — namely the aforementioned staffing needs at Bradley Elementary.
Despite the changes in enrollment and staffing, Avila said the district’s overall financial outlook for FY27 remains consistent with the previous fiscal year.
“The district’s budget typically remains stable from year to year unless there is a significant increase or decrease in student enrollment,” she said.
