MANNFORD — A special meeting of the City of Mannford trustees and the Mannford Public Works Authority (MPWA) was recently held to conduct regular business that had been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. According to City Manager Gerald Haury, the meeting was necessary to handle standard monthly matters after the regular meeting was cancelled.
“It was needed to replace the Regular Meeting that was cancelled the week before due to a scheduling conflict with the Oklahoma Municipal League Conference in OKC,” Haury explained.
He verified there was no time sensitive matter to be addressed.
Notable matters listed on both the trustee and authority agendas was a resolution related to the incurring of indebtedness. Haury said that the resolution was tied to the city’s application for a loan through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to purchase Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) water meters.
“The resolution is a requirement of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) and was approved by the Board,” he confirmed.
The agenda items explicitly list an amount not to exceed $600,000 for the matter.
