OILTON — Those named to the NextGen Under 30 list are recognized as individuals who demonstrate talent, drive, and leadership in their respective fields all before the age of 30. This year three of the Oilton council members were named on that list — Sharlie Jackson, Zackeriha Hollingsworth, and Julia Bagwell.
Jackson was named for her work in policy and public service, Hollingsworth was also named for his work in policy and public service, and Bagwell was named for her non-profit organization work.
As Class of 2025 NextGen Under 30 winners the three have earned a place among Oklahoma’s most promising young leaders demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication to their professions as well as their community as a whole. The winners are selected by a panel of business and civic leaders based on their professional achievement, leadership, and commitment to community service.
NextGen Under 30 was a program established in 2011, according to the official website. It is an initiative that seeks to honor the next generation of leaders across Oklahoma and receives thousands of submitted nominations each year. The goal of the program is to honor those who have shown exceptional leadership and dedication as well as encourage young professionals to stay and invest in Oklahoma’s future.
Winners are invited to attend statewide leadership events and participate in mentoring opportunities to inspire the next wave of innovators toward professional growth. The annual NextGen Under 30 Class of 2025 summit is scheduled for September 22 in Oklahoma City.
