SAL Squadron 17 supports local youth, honors veterans through community partnership

SAND SPRINGS — The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron 17 in Sand Springs has continued its commitment to community service with a $600 donation to Venture Crew #2507 on April 21 at the Veterans Center.

Additionally Jesse DeShazer was presented with the Wade Guyer 2025 Firefighter of the Year award and Derek Jackson was presented with a previously awarded plaque for Firefighter of the Year.
