MUSTANG - The Oklahoma Youth Hunting Program is seeking volunteers to help introduce fi rst-time hunters to the sport during a special deer camp and hunt this fall.
held 16-18 during Oklahoma's Youth Deer Gun Season. The program is looking for dedicated volunteers to mentor young hunters, ages 10 to 17, and their guardians as part of an e ort to build the next generation of hunters.
Volunteers are needed in several areas, including marketing, data management, administration, guiding, deer processing and butchering, cooking, photography and fi rst aid.
The Oklahoma Youth Hunting Program is made up of sportsmen and sportswomen dedicated to introducing young non-hunters to the tradition of hunting. Its goal is to build future hunters, one trip at a time.
A volunteer training workshop will July Lunch and a cooking demonstration will be provided.
