INOLA — Mannford High School’s girls cross country team claimed the top spot at the Inola Cross Country Meet on Tuesday, fueled by strong performances from their varsity runners.
The Lady Panthers scored 57 points, holding off Adair (85) and Vinita (92) in the 3,200-meter race. Mannford runners Marley Beshear and Kellyn Collins led the way, finishing first in 12:34.73 and fifth in 14:17.09, respectively.
Other scoring runners included Francella Jenkins (16th, 15:05.69), Alyssa McCrackin (17th, 15:19.34), and Karlee Christian (18th, 15:20.06). Mannford’s depth was evident with Hayden Butler (34th, 16:01.10) and Lyla Barbata (35th, 16:04.76) contributing to the team’s low point total.
The Panthers’ performance highlighted their consistency across the lineup, with a 1-5 split of 2:45 and an average finish time of 14:31, a strong indicator heading into the rest of the 2025 season.
