Locals recognized during annual Drumright Chamber banquet

DRUMRIGHT — The Drumright Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its annual banquet bringing community members together for an evening of recognition, entertainment, and celebration of those who contribute to the town’s success.

Chamber volunteer Anna Long described the event as a special night celebrating “the heart of Drumright,” filled with community pride and appreciation for the businesses, leaders, and volunteers who help make the community a great place to live and work. The evening featured entertainment by Zac Reece with Tim Howard serving as emcee. Leslie Reece captured photos throughout the event. During the banquet, Angela Titus was recognized as the outgoing chamber president and Howard was introduced as the incoming president.

Several awards were presented honoring individuals, organizations, and businesses for their impact on the community. Titus received the Leadership in Action Award as Community Leader of the Year, while the Drumright FFA/4-H Program was named Organization of the Year. Long was recognized as Volunteer of the Year with the Community Hero Award and was also honored as one of the Citizens of the Year alongside Drumright City Manager Shawn Gibson.

Business recognitions included Joseph’s Fine Foods as Large Business of the Year, Drumright Tire as Small Business of the Year, and Tidewater Winery receiving the Breakthrough Business Award. Independent Trucking was recognized with the Legacy of Service Award for more than 78 years in operation.

The evening also highlighted several community impact awards. Layce Barnett received the Community IMPACT Award, while Myrna Sellers and C.D. Osterhout were honored with the Lifetime Commitment IMPACT Award for their decades of service and leadership in the community.

Youth leaders were also recognized with the Rising Star Outstanding Youth Contributor Award. Honorees included Jake Baugh, Blaire Dorsey, and Annallina Chase Ingram for their volunteer efforts and civic involvement.

Long said the banquet served as a reminder that the strength of a small town lies in the people who dedicate their time, talents, and passion to improving their community. She noted that the chamber is proud of Drumright and looks forward to continuing to support local businesses and strengthen the community in the years ahead.
