Drumright City Commission Approves Consent Agenda, Building Request and Lot Split

DRUMRIGHT — Members of the City of Drumright commission approved several routine and development-related items during its regular meeting on March 9, according to City Manager Shawn Gibson.

Gibson confirmed the commission approved the consent agenda which included a series of routine administrative actions, in a single motion. Among the consent agenda items was the approval of the Feb. 9 regular meeting minutes, the Feb. 17 special meeting minutes, and the January 2026 city financial report. Commissioners also approved regular claims totaling $93,027.73.

A request to place a metal building at 1605 North Skinner was also approved by the commissioners. Gibson said this was a climate controlled building that would be used to store a 35ft fifth wheel.

In other business, the commission approved a lot split request for property located at 900 Truck Bypass. The approval means that an approximately two-acre tract will be divided into two parcels: Tract 1, containing about 1.39 acres, and Tract 2, containing about 0.76 acres, according to the legal description provided in the agenda materials.

The commission also approved the appointment of Cindy West to the board of commissioners for the Drumright Housing Authority. Her term will begin on March 25.
