Janzen leads Drumright effort at Cashion meet

CASHION — Drumright athletes turned in strong performances in hurdles and relays at the Cashion Wildcat Relays on April 3, with multiple top-10 fi nishes.

The Lady Tornadoes placed 10th in the girls 4x100 relay (55.06) and added a 14th-place fi nish in the 4x200 relay (1:59.37).

Freshman Lauren Janzen led Drumright with a seventh-place fi nish in the 100-meter hurdles (17.99) and followed with an eighthplace fi nish in the 300 hurdles (51.84). Fellow freshman Braelyn Wright placed 12th in the 100 hurdles.

In the sprints, junior Alyssa Roe paced Drumright with a 14th-place fi nish in the girls 100 (13.91). Ari Wright placed 43rd in the 100 and 37th in the 400, while Kayleejo Deshazer fi nished 54th in the 100.

On the boys side, freshman Caleb Sloan competed in both sprint events, placing 51st in the 100 and 44th in the 400. Junior Max Gray ran the 800 and 400, fi nishing 63rd and 77th, respectively.
