PAWHUSKA - Oilton athletes competed in a mix of sprint and middle-distance events at the Pawhuska Invitational on April 2, showing steady e ort across the meet.
Nate Smith led the Panthers with a seventhplace fi nish in the 800-meter run (2:22.95) and added a 12th-place fi nish in the 400 (57.78).
Cooper Mills placed 39th in the 400-meter dash.
On the girls side, Karli Kennedy paced Oilton with a 21st-place fi nish in the 400 (1:16.85) and also competed in the 800, placing 27th. Jadeann Smith followed closely with a 22nd-place fi nish in the 400 and 24th in the 800.
Demi Kennedy placed 31st in the 400 and 11th in the 800, while Emma Kuehl (32nd in 400, 15th in 800) and Hollie Locke (30th in 400, 22nd in 800) added depth in both events.
