OKEMAH - Mannford delivered a dominant performance at the Okemah Invitational on April 3, sweeping both the boys and girls team titles with 167 and 150 points, respectively, behind a top The Lady Pirates set the tone early, winning the 4x100-meter relay as seniors Kilynn Reed and Madi Hale teamed with sophomore Jaylnn Roper and junior Addi Pehrson for a time of 53.71. That same core, joined by freshman Bella Gilbert, also captured the 4x200 relay title in 1:51.32 and the 4x400 relay in 4:21.35.
Pehrson added an individual runner-up fi nish in the 200-meter dash (26.54), while Gilbert placed seventh and Francella Jenkins took ninth. Jenkins also placed sixth in the 400, with Roper (12th) and Serenity Myrter (30th) adding points.
In distance events, Marley Beshear won the 800 (2:37.45), while Hayden Butler (5th), Alyssa McCrackin (9th) and Kyla Athena (15th) contributed. Marin Chapman (6th) and Lyla Barbata (7th) led Mannford in the 3,200.
The hurdles crew was strong, with Jayden Epperley placing fourth in the 100 hurdles and Madi Hale fi nishing second in the 300 hurdles. Rosaline Baker (6th) and Emma McCrackin (20th) also competed in the 100 hurdles.
Field events added key points as Trinity Tuell won the pole vault (9 feet), followed by Baker in second. In discus, Baker (8th), Addley Elliott (10th), Lorna Carley (15th), Maddie Wenzel (17th) and Jaelynn Escamilla (28th) all placed, while Baker (13th) and Kaedyence Legare (19th) competed in shot put. Emmy Firey (5th) and Gracelyn Dowdy (9th) added long jump fi nishes, and Firey (13th) and Epperley competed in high jump.
On the boys side, Mannford’s sprint relays shined as the 4x100 team of Luke Naylor, Trey Scott, Logan McMonigle and Jerrett Robinson placed second, while the 4x200 squad of Naylor, Robinson, Scott and Landon Owens also took second.
Owens was a standout, winning the long jump (19-0.5) and high jump (6-2) while placing third in the 200. Naylor added a third-place fi nish in the 100 and fourth in the 200, while Louis Perodeau (8th in 100, 11th in 200), McMonigle (20th in 100, 13th in 200), Keegan Arndt (32nd in 100, 41st in 200), Jehudi Ortiz (47th in 100, 17th in 200) and Chase Boucher (41st in 100) rounded out the sprint group.
In the hurdles, Max Moore led with a fi rst-place fi nish in the 110 hurdles and added a third-place fi nish in the 300 hurdles. Ryder Tidwell placed second in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 300 hurdles, while Jerrick Harvey (7th), Braxton Janes (11th) and Ben Shasteen (16th) added depth in the 300 hurdles.
Distance runners also delivered strong results. Isaac Brown placed third in the 1,600 and fi fth in the 3,200, while Evin Hollaway (7th), Tyson Phillips (16th), Dayne Ficken (19th) and Jake Williams (41st) competed in the 1,600. In the 800, McMonigle (2nd), Ficken (7th), Shasteen (14th), Jaxon Harvey (17th), Phillips (22nd) and Kayden Randolph (45th) ran for Mannford.
The 4x400 relay team of Scott, Robert Gonzalez, Robinson and Tidwell placed fi fth.
In the throws, Kendall Howard led the way with a second-Upton shot put, 11th discus), Bobby Blackburn (6th shot put, 9th discus), Cooper Boyer (14th shot put, 8th discus) and Stephen Foster (27th shot put, 16th discus) contributed.
In the pole vault, Joey Bish placed second, followed by Scott (5th) and Elijah Coker (6th). High jump saw additional points from Boucher (8th), Perodeau (11th) and Doug Tingley (11th).
